FAQ

Here are some answers to common questions. Feel free to contact me for more answers.

Q: How can you help me make the changes I want?
A: I use a combination of modalities to assist you in effecting the changes you want, only as fast as you’re ready to make those changes. While the specific techniques used may vary, our sessions will generally include Hypnosis & NLP (neuro-linguistic programming)

Q: Are hypnosis and NLP safe?
A: Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind that anyone can enter and leave at any time. A daydream for example, is a natural hypnotic state… To put it plainly, it’s the hyper-focusing of your mind on a single idea or though process, which is perfectly safe. NLP is a set of linguistic tools and exercises that are excellent for effecting lasting change. Any tool is safe when used by a trained professional. And that I am.

Q: What can hypnosis do for me?
A: The wonderful effects of hypnosis are very broad. It can be used as an aid in anesthesia and for stress & pain relief or natural childbirth. Hypnosis and NLP can help you eliminate phobias and fears and assist you in kicking out bad habits such as smoking and over-eating. It can provide motivation, enhance your memory & concentration, and It can also be used for entertainment and recreational purposes. It can begin with simple relaxation and teach you to put a stop to procrastination, insomnia and almost any other unwanted habit or behavior.

Q: What if I’m hypnotized and you make me say or do something I don’t want to?
A: While in hypnosis, your senses and your awareness are heightened. As a hypnotist I am only your guide and can’t make you do anything that you are not prepared to do on your own or that contradicts your morals or beliefs. In fact, I have a better chance at getting something out of you while you are in your normal state of consciousness.

Q: What if I don’t “wake up”?
A: This is simply impossible. Since hypnosis is the hyper-focusing of your mind on a single idea, when that idea wears off and your mind wanders, you will emerge from the state. You may notice that the hypnotist is constantly talking to the hypnotized person… that is the main reason for the hypnotist’s constant patter. To maintain your focus and keep you in a trance for the duration of the hypnotic session. Even if the hypnotist were to leave while you’re hypnotized, the worse that can happen is that your hypnotic state would turn into a natural and comfortable nap and you would wake up normally and also fully rested.

Q: How much do you charge?
A: Your investment in change for individual sessions, whether live or on Skype is $125/session. And I offer a 3 session package for $350. Our corporate and group services are quoted on a case by case basis and the best way to receive accurate information is to tell us about your needs and your particular situation. Please inquire.

Q: How many sessions will I need?
A: Depends on what you are looking to achieve from your hypnosis session. Many conditions can be handled in one session although I initially recommend 2 sessions. One to make the changes and a reinforcement session. Some issues might require 10 or more sessions, but in general I see clients less than 6 times. Most clients come to me when they are ready and open to learn the skills I teach. How fast you learn those depends on many factors. Please inquire about your specific needs.

Q: How will it feel to be hypnotized?
A: In not so many words… FANTASTIC! – Hypnosis is such an amazing state of mind that it is hard to describe it fully. It is a state of complete relaxation and heightened awareness in which all your senses are enhanced. Contrary to popular belief, when in hypnosis, you are not asleep at all. You are only in a state of suggestibility that is perfect for effecting lasting change in any area of your life. Hypnosis truly is an awesome experience. Give it a try!
